The first time I ever saw America the Beautiful was on television. It was a commercial for the Fourth of July and it made me feel so patriotic. I remember thinking to myself, “This is my country and I am proud of it.”
Since then, I have seen the song performed many times, but it always has the same effect on me. Whenever I hear it, I get chills and tears come to my eyes. It is such a beautiful song that celebrates everything that is great about America.

Many people love America and all it has to offer, but there are some who think that it doesn’t meet the standards of a true democracy. One big reason for this is the country’s lack of universal healthcare.
In a democracy, everyone should have equal access to basic services like healthcare, but in America, only those who can afford it or have insurance can get medical treatment. This means that many people go without vital care because they can’t afford it. Another issue is the high level of gun violence in the US.
There are more mass shootings in America than any other country, and many people feel that stricter gun laws could help to reduce this problem. Finally, some people believe that American democracy is being threatened by the current political climate. With divisive rhetoric and an increase in hate crimes, many feel that the country is becoming more divided and less tolerant of different viewpoints.
While America has its flaws, it is still a great place to live and many people are proud to be citizens of such a diverse and complex nation.
